About Our Event
The Philippine fintech scene has long been overlooked by international media. This year, SFF introduces a unique hybrid format. It will connect a network of global and local stages via a digital platform available 24 hours a day for 5 days, worldwide. In 2019, the Philippines saw a 36% spike in in e-money transactions reaching P720 billion in value. This spike is only expected to continue as the pandemic's restriction have triggered more developments, thereby shining the spotlight on the Philippine scene.
The most diverse and most inclusive celebration of Fintech, technology, and innovation in the world, the Singapore Fintech Festival is internationally renowned. As the biggest technology event worldwide, in 2019 alone it attracted 60,000 participants from 140 countries, including heads of state, policy makers, financial and technology leaders, Fintech founders, and academics. Continuing this tradition of championing tech for good, this year’s theme is “People and Talent”--in celebration of the thought-leaders who have harnessed the power of technology to overcome the unprecedented obstacles posed by COVID-19 through connectivity, solidarity and sustainability.
To be held globally for the first time, with the Philippines as one of the key participants, this week-long festival will firmly position the country as part of the global fintech footprint. Hyper local events will tap the movers and shakers of the local industry, while also giving them their due acknowledgement in the global scene. As a hotbed for some of the most ingenious and relevant innovations, this year’s SFF event is chance to spark Philippine pride and inspire more to follow suit.
