Synopsis
The COVID-19 pandemic has further underscored the importance of national digital infrastructures, with an emergence of new needs and public services that hinge on digital services. Public foundational digital infrastructures will be critical for inclusive economic and social development – enabling interoperable solutions and seamless services, to reach more people and businesses at lower cost and greater convenience. Policymakers can play a vital role in supporting the provisioning of such foundational digital infrastructures to all members of the society as a public good.
The SFF Green Shoots Series will be kicking off our first episode in 2021 with a deep-dive into the state of foundational national digital infrastructure.
